looking in to the lighting in film

I took some photos in my room looking into different lighting types and seeing how each one came out so different from the last, personal preference for myself would be key lighting. And I shall never take an under-lighting selfie again.

     These were all I could take without professional equipment and no help, although I’m sure the results with professional equipment is remarkable.

  Sergei Eisenstein   “The father of montage” often “the father of editing too as is represented in his political film “battleship Potemkin”. The montage was one of the first ways of catching emotion within a films character, other ways were used such as “Nanook of the north” by Robert Flaherty, however montage has carried on throughout all kinds of genres.    The famous scene in battleship Potemkin where the citizens were running for there lives down the steps was a masterclass in montage, it was the first time one scenes times had been extended through editing by a series of linked images. Unfortunately, this movie was band in Russia for political reasons but the film continued to be studied in many film schools and is the reason for montage and some of the editing today.
