This setting is where I imagine it shall all begin, as in counters the codes and conventions of horror with a place of comfort 

1, This is one of three corridors I plan on using, for the real film it will be low key lighting hiding the antagonist giving a horrible eerie feeling off the start. 

2, Also low key lighting 

This setting is perfectly matched for all the codes and conventions of a horror film with the low key to no lighting at all, old dusty, cobwebs everywhere.

  Sergei Eisenstein   “The father of montage” often “the father of editing too as is represented in his political film “battleship Potemkin”. The montage was one of the first ways of catching emotion within a films character, other ways were used such as “Nanook of the north” by Robert Flaherty, however montage has carried on throughout all kinds of genres.    The famous scene in battleship Potemkin where the citizens were running for there lives down the steps was a masterclass in montage, it was the first time one scenes times had been extended through editing by a series of linked images. Unfortunately, this movie was band in Russia for political reasons but the film continued to be studied in many film schools and is the reason for montage and some of the editing today.
