Pitch for potential movie idea

our story talks about a child who went missing leaving the house a neighbourhood tragidy, many specialists looked into the story and more importantly the childs where abouts. the family ended up moving out as they then belived the storys, no one has heard from them since leaving the house dormant for 
     
      years later an unsuspecting family move in... as a non supisticios family they choose to ignore the stories and warnings of fellow neighbours. to which one evening in particular changes their mind completly.

Life was looking good for this family, they had taken a chance and it seemed to be paying off until the 23rd of febuary when the middle child Oscar hears a noise coming from the basement...

  Sergei Eisenstein   “The father of montage” often “the father of editing too as is represented in his political film “battleship Potemkin”. The montage was one of the first ways of catching emotion within a films character, other ways were used such as “Nanook of the north” by Robert Flaherty, however montage has carried on throughout all kinds of genres.    The famous scene in battleship Potemkin where the citizens were running for there lives down the steps was a masterclass in montage, it was the first time one scenes times had been extended through editing by a series of linked images. Unfortunately, this movie was band in Russia for political reasons but the film continued to be studied in many film schools and is the reason for montage and some of the editing today.
